We’ve never used silver or mercury fillings at our dental practice, although they are commonly used. Research has shown aging silver fillings can darken the teeth and lead to tooth fractures. Further, mercury is a volatile substance, and prolonged or substantial exposure has been identified to be a health hazard.
Do you have old silver fillings? It’s a good idea to get all of your silver or mercury fillings in your arch replaced. You’ll immediate notice the difference between your silver filling and the new healthy, white bonded replacements we provide!

After a short healing period, a beautiful new replacement tooth is then attached to the implant. The replacement tooth looks, feels, and works just like your natural teeth!

And while some dentists still feel comfortable placing mercury in their patient’s mouths, we don’t. At SE Dental, we hold onto our values, and one of those values is to not use antiqueated dental techniques and fillers.
Research has shown the potential side effects of mercury are dangerous. We eliminate those risks by replacing mercury fillers with beautiful new white bonded restorations.

Thankfully today, we can say goodbye to those old metal crowns. All porcelain crowns are strong, long-lasting and do an amazing job of replicating your natural teeth. In fact, the color is so natural and fitting, even friends and family won’t be able to tell you had work done! Further, porcelain crowns eliminate the dark ring at the margin of the typical metal crowns we’re all used to seeing.
Porcelain veneers are also much more durable than regular composite veneers. Deep tetracycline stains can be removed from a smile using our thin veneer shells. In some cases, because the veneer is essentially a mask that is bonded to your natural teeth, veneers can sometimes allow patients to bypass orthodontic treatment.
Finally, porcelain veneers resist stains much better than cheaper, more common resign veneers. In as short as two visits, you can have a smile that beams with a new confidence and brilliance that you haven’t seen in years!
Our porcelain onlays are beautiful, they feel as natural as your own tooth and can last between 15-20 years or more!
